Lead Mechanical Engineer

One of our top partners in the Electric Vehicle space is preparing to build a facility that will be a crucial part of Canada’s Electric Vehicle (EV) supply chain in Kingston area. Our client is looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for the Mechanical Engineering team supporting the construction and installation of the new assets in the new facility.

- Work closely with Project Managers and assign the needed Mechanical Engineers for each project.
- Ensure the Mechanical responsibilities are executed within scope and according to the planning and budget.
- Liaise with contractors for a safe execution and ensure timelines are being respected.
- Detect roadblocks and take corrective actions.
- Manage risk, change of scope and work assigned to team members.
- Perform/Support commissioning of the equipments before handing over to the Process Team.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years of experience working in similar role and good understanding of industrial installations.
- Knowledge of EHS Standards and industry best practices
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Exemplary behaviour towards ethics and integrity and ability to build strong relationships
- Good working knowledge of MS Office
