Job Opportunity: Lead Mechanical Engineer

One of our top partners in the Electric Vehicle space is preparing to build a facility that will be a crucial part of Canada’s Electric Vehicle (EV) supply chain in Kingston area. Our client is looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for the Mechanical Engineering team supporting the construction and installation of the new assets in the new facility.

Responsibilities
  1. Work closely with Project Managers and assign the needed Mechanical Engineers for each project.
  2. Ensure the Mechanical responsibilities are executed within scope and according to the planning and budget.
  3. Liaise with contractors for a safe execution and ensure timelines are being respected.
  4. Detect roadblocks and take corrective actions.
  5. Manage risk, change of scope and work assigned to team members.
  6. Perform/Support commissioning of the equipments before handing over to the Process Team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience working in similar role and good understanding of industrial installations.
  • Knowledge of EHS Standards and industry best practices
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Exemplary behaviour towards ethics and integrity and ability to build strong relationships
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office
