We’re searching for an innovative VP of Marketing to join our agency. If you’re right for this role, then you’ll definitely have a passion for developing brand and marketing strategy, setting and achieving targets aligned with broader business goals, establishing relationships with press and internal client teams, and leading the Marketing and Comms team. You’ve got a crystal-clear view of the digital landscape, and you’re eager to guide our overall marketing plan across brand, media, public relations, market research, issues management, crisis communication, awards, and marketing-related customer relationship and engagement activities—all essential to building our agency’s brand reputation and expanding awareness across the industry. You’re also a gifted leader, ready to directly oversee our small-but-mighty marketing and comms team while working closely and collaboratively with our business development team.

You will:
  1. Analyze existing branding and marketing strategies and improve upon them.
  2. Report to the agency CEO and work closely to define overall strategic direction.
  3. Lead a capable marketing team and delegate tasks fairly.
  4. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and yearly budgets, and allocate resources appropriately.
  5. Execute key marketing tasks e.g., events, awards, thought leadership, press (working closely with the team).
  6. Set daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly targets, and implement various incentives to ensure they are achieved.
  7. Conduct market research and implement new strategies based on findings.
  8. Monitor industry trends and brief the team on new information.
  9. Closely monitor competitors’ successes and failures and learn from them.
  10. Supervise marketing events and launches and use these spaces to network with industry professionals.
  11. Assist with the recruitment, training, and onboarding of new staff.
  12. Build relationships with key industry organizations; assess and action strategic partnerships.

You have:
  1. BSc in marketing, branding, business, PR, or a similar field.
  2. Master’s degree may be preferable.
  3. Extensive experience in a similar role.
  4. Superb marketing and research skills.
  5. Knowledge and practical experience with SEO, digital marketing tools, and related software.
  6. Highly observant and analytical.
  7. Strong leadership skills and the ability to make difficult decisions.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  9. Willingness to travel.
