Principal Consultant/Engagement Leader

The Principal Consultant position offers an excellent career and growth opportunity for a talented and highly-motivated professional with significant prior experience in technical consulting.
Reporting to the Head of Consulting, the Principal Consultant is responsible for leading a team of enthusiastic, capable, and motivated consultants. The role is responsible for building, mentoring, and scaling the team and building and strengthening relationships with our key clients.
The work:
- Engagement in building the business by continually identifying new and expanded opportunities.
- Create exciting and additive intellectual property through thought leadership and be familiar with a broad range of technologies, innovations in the cloud, and adjacent topics.
- Support the business in client project delivery through high-quality execution, technical excellence, and building and owning relationships with key client stakeholders.
- Report to the Leadership Team, effectively seeking guidance on technical and senior-level engagement, maximizing the impact of Sourced with our clients and maintaining our company values.
- Work with your team to develop their capabilities and build a strong personal brand both inside and outside the organization; this role includes both billable and team-leadership accountabilities.
- Lead your team through efficient and effective problem-solving processes, from initial conception through convergence to a solution or approach.
- Create knowledge from our engagements that can be shared across the team to further fuel growth.
- Collaborate with peers across the Group to leverage their knowledge and experiences to support continuous improvement within your team.
- Ensure and maintain the billable utilization for yourself and your team to exceed the company's targets.
- Identify capability gaps, manage the team skills mix, and make informed decisions on potential talent hires, growing, and developing the team.
- Drive effective team performance reviews, cascading organizational goals, and individual development plans to support the development and career growth of your team.
- Ensure that new and prospective client engagements have the highest focus, proposals, and statements of work (SOWs) are developed timely and meet the highest quality and accuracy standards.
- Support business development activities, including sales presentations, proposal creation, negotiation, and project estimation, to achieve revenue and P/L objectives for each client engagement under your oversight.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years plus of relevant experience in technical consulting or related industry experience in digital transformation in verticals such as sales performance management or financial services.
- Have a natural problem-solving mindset, be detail-oriented with a creative flair and a bias for action.
- Experience in project-based, team-oriented environments and a track record of leading or working in teams and delivering against tight deadlines in fast-paced and demanding environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to conduct and leverage sophisticated analyses to identify trends, draw conclusions, and present recommendations.
- Outstanding communication skills; confidence in presenting to senior executives.
- Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program, ideally being a Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Exposure working with SPM tools such as Anaplan, Pigment, Varicent Board is advantageous.
- Agile approach in personal work style, with the ability to be flexible and adept in dealing with and resolving ambiguity.
