The Ministry of Corrections, Public Safety and Policing is seeking a dynamic and innovative professional to manage and oversee security and daily operations for the Pine Grove Correctional Centre in Prince Albert.
The Assistant Deputy Director of Operations is responsible for operational leadership ensuring that facility and community security and safety standards are maintained and a rehabilitative and reintegration program focus is supported within the Centre. Under the general direction of the Deputy Director of Operations and in keeping with the Ministry's strategic plan, you will ensure the safety and security of inmates and staff through consistent application of policy and procedures; to meet the needs of offenders; and lead and manage the human resources on shift by maintaining positive and effective working relationships with a diverse workforce.
To qualify for this position, you will have considerable education and/or training in the human services field, demonstrated experience in the criminal justice system responding to females in conflict with the law, and will have acted in a supervisory capacity for considerable periods of time.
