We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Director to join our team and support the ongoing success of our center.
Job Description: The Assistant Program Director will work closely with the Program Director to oversee the daily operations of the daycare, ensuring a safe, enriching, and supportive environment for children, families, and staff. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, along with a deep passion for early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the daycare center.
- Support the Program Director in implementing policies, procedures, and programs that promote high-quality care and education.
- Supervise and mentor staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and maintain high standards of safety and hygiene.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, addressing concerns and providing excellent customer service.
- Assist in developing and implementing curriculum and educational programs.
- Manage administrative tasks.
- Coordinate with the Program Director on budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Promote a positive and inclusive culture within the center.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a childcare setting, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level 3 certification.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about early childhood education and committed to the well-being and development of children.
