Job Description

We have an opening for a Mechanical Design Technologist in our Saskatoon office. In this position, you will participate in the design and drafting of process mechanical infrastructure projects for both private and public sector clients. Infrastructure types might include water and wastewater treatment systems, pumping systems, piping, and others. You will work on a variety of municipal and industrial projects. You will also do work site visits and assist in field work as required. You will provide support to other members of our team while working on a variety of projects in a collaborative team environment. 

As part of the Saskatoon Water Division, you will report to the Mechanical & Hydraulic Modelling Manager within the Saskatchewan Operation.

Job Requirements

What you will bring to the table:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Design & Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or other related discipline, from an accredited post-secondary institution
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Committed team player 
  • Demonstrated time management skills and ability to work independently 
  • Proven analytical thinking and problem-solving skills 
  • Experience working in the field is an asset 
  • Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Revit is an asset 
  • Possess a valid class 5 driver's license 
  • Available to travel throughout Saskatchewan on occasion
