We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Technologist to join our team in Saskatoon.
About the RoleAs a Mechanical Design Technologist, you will work closely with our Mechanical team to develop building mechanical systems documentation using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD. Your responsibilities will include:
- Participating in the development of 2D and 3D documentation for building mechanical systems
- Supporting project managers and mechanical engineers in systems design
- Monitoring and ensuring quality control during construction
- Generating technical information with minimal guidance and supervision
- Developing complete and final drawings/model from general conceptual information and design notes
- Coordinating Englobe's drawings with those of other disciplines on each project
- Applying and promoting Englobe's health and safety rules
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A certificate or diploma in a related mechanical technology or drafting technology program, or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical design engineering for buildings or equivalent experience and responsibilities
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with Autodesk Revit in mechanical system design
- A comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- A proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD
- Experience with various types of building and site mechanical systems and the ability to conceptualize in three dimensions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce well-written reports and technical specifications
- Attention to detail, strong communication skills, organization and planning skills, judgment and decision-making ability, and problem analysis and problem-solving skills
