Senior Project Manager

Jade Personnel Consulting Inc. is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager for our client, a General Contractor, in Edmonton, Alberta.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage project activities throughout the life cycle of the project.
  2. Meeting the project budget and schedule.
  3. Complete accurate monthly forecasts.
  4. Act as primary liaison with clients, designers, site superintendents, subtrades, and other project stakeholders.
  5. Organize project teams and support them in meeting the deliverables according to specification.
  6. Manage internal staff, external contractors, and trades.
  7. Manage trade contractor site meetings, RFIs, invoices, and control document process.

Qualifications:

  1. Degree in Construction or Engineering is preferred.
  2. Technical diploma in a construction-related field, or equivalent construction experience.
  3. At least 8 years of experience in commercial construction.
  4. At least 6 years of experience in a Project Manager capacity.
  5. Previous experience working for a General Contractor.
  6. Solid understanding of all construction trades, safety, and construction techniques.
  7. Able to interpret and effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and timelines.
  8. Frequent travel to local site and off-site locations as required.
  9. Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated track record of dealing successfully with internal and external clients.
