Overview:
The successful candidate will complement the Company’s contingent of staff and contract resources in BTS. The candidates’ primary assignment is to provide business analysis support to the Cybersecurity & IT Resiliency Program, aimed at increasing Cybersecurity and IT resiliency across the enterprise. The Company is transforming to support further innovation and growth. the Company is concerned about the speed and frequency of cyber-attacks, and the effects those attacks are having on the organization and its operational capabilities. As part of digital transformation, the Company wants to modernize its approach to cybersecurity and transform securely. The Company has updated its cybersecurity vision and strategy. A transformation plan and roadmap of improvement initiatives have been developed. The candidates will work closely with the Program Manager, the Cybersecurity & IT Resiliency team, and other program stakeholders across the Company and its operating companies. The candidate will work with stakeholders from various business units across the Company’s Enterprise as well as with vendors or suppliers to define and document business processes and requirements for Cybersecurity related projects and initiatives. The candidate will also participate in and support key aspects of the implementation of technology solutions. This may include some project coordination, solution design, development, communications, testing, and training delivery. Work product will require the use of Microsoft Office productivity tools to capture and present project information including Excel pivot tables and charts, SharePoint Lists, Visio diagrams (swim lanes, org charts), etc.

What you will be doing:
Working closely with the program team and stakeholders, the candidates will provide end-to-end business analysis services for this project. Duties will include all aspects of business analysis including but not limited to the following:

  • Document and summarize the current workloads relative to IT infrastructure capacity on-prem and in the cloud, which includes computer, memory, storage, and networking requirements.

  • Mapping of workloads against hardware life cycles, accounting for expected growth and resiliency requirements to develop a hardware replacement and cloud migration strategy including prioritization SBAsed on business criticality.

  • Define and document the business problems, opportunities, risks, and primary objectives related to the project or initiative.

  • Lead discussions with stakeholder groups to identify, interpret, and analyze requirements using a variety of techniques such as interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, use cases/scenarios, workflow analysis.

  • Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and decompose high-level information into detailed functional and technical specifications.

  • Document detailed business requirements and high-level system design using the Company’s standard project methodology and coordinate requirement walk-throughs and signoffs with BTS & business stakeholders.

  • Work with BTS staff and business stakeholders to document current as-is business processes, using the Company’s standard business process notation and diagramming methods.

Expected Deliverables
Standard business analysis deliverables and supporting documentation will be expected although they may be modified to suit the scope and scale of the project. These include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Cloud migration approach – Provide recommendations on application migration to the cloud.

  • Hardware replacement strategy – Prioritization of replacement of on-prem infrastructure in a cost-effective manner.

  • Workloads – Summarize the on-prem and cloud workloads along with applications supported.

  • Risk and issue logging as it relates to the workloads and refresh cycles, on an as discovered SBAsis.

  • Use Case documents or User Stories.

  • Current as-is and future state process diagrams or maps.

  • Fit-gap analysis documents.

  • RACI matrices.

  • Decision Analysis and Supporting documents.

  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Operations and / or user guides.

  • End User Training materials.

  • Meeting agendas, minutes, and action items

  • Program status reports.

What you must have:
To be considered for this position, the candidates must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • Experience with Cybersecurity, IT Resiliency and IT Infrastructure is a must have.

  • Must have 7+ years of business analysis experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree with formal business analyst training.

  • Business systems analyst or junior engineering experience in IT infrastructure.

  • Good understanding of data center technologies, on-prem networking and cloud infrastructure.

  • Experience in conducting current stated assessments and recommending cloud migration approaches.

  • Ability to understand and work with data extracted from IT infrastructure management tools such as vSphere and Azure.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills.

  • Experience with leading teams comprised of business analysts and business subject matter experts.

  • Ability to gather, analyze, and consolidate information from a variety of sources (i.e., documents, interviews, brainstorming sessions, etc.).

  •  Proven track record of working with business stakeholders to identify, assess and document business requirements.

  • Ability to work with technical analysts / advisors and translate these requirements into detailed system specifications.

  • Knowledge of standard MS Office tools, including Microsoft Visio

  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail working in a fast-paced environment.
