EllisDon's Facilities Services group seeks an experienced Bid Manager to grow the company's Facilities Management (FM) business.

As a Bid Manager, you will lead the bid process, from opportunity identification to proposal submission. This includes ensuring the timely submission of high-quality proposals that meet client requirements, managing the bid budget and resources effectively, and establishing compliance with all RFP requirements and guidelines. The Bid Manager will uphold an understanding of market trends and competitor activity to inform bid strategy.

You, as a Bid Manager, will:

  • Lead the end-to-end bid process, including reviewing bid opportunities for fit, qualification development, and proposal submission.
  • Develop and execute bid strategies that align with the company's goals and client requirements.
  • Develop compelling and persuasive bid content, including executive summaries, value propositions, pricing models, and technical responses.
  • Coordinate with various teams, including estimating, procurement, technical, legal, and finance to ensure all aspects of a bid are addressed.
  • Work with pricing teams to develop competitive pricing strategies that align with bid requirements and profitability targets.
  • Manage bidding resources and timeliness to ensure on-time and high-quality proposal submissions.
  • Participate in negotiation sessions to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate bid documentation, including bid files, records of communication, and pricing information.
  • Monitor and evaluate bid performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate and facilitate bid review meetings, ensuring key stakeholders provide input and address concerns or issues.

Is this the right role for you?

  • Have a degree or diploma in business administration, finance, facilities management, a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and construction experience.
  • Experience in managing bids for complex projects or large-scale contracts.
  • Demonstrated success in winning business through effective bid/tender management.
  • Strong understanding of the bid process, proposal writing, development, and contract negotiation.
  • Keen eye, attention to detail, and passion for delivering high-quality work.
  • Flexible and open to changing priorities and multi-tasking simultaneously within compressed time frames.
  • Well-versed with Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
