In addition, the position is responsible for attending scheduled customer visits, aiding in resolving customer inquiries, and forecasting/supporting future customer requirements.

Major Job Function:

  • Lead maintenance strategy development and lead/participate in technical meetings
  • Liase between customer reliability and Finning/CAT
  • Work with remanufacturing/rebuild facilities to support product reliability/durability
  • Work towards m inimizing equipment downtime and maintain production requirements as scheduled
  • Based on the technical audit of the machine and analysis report, the TSR will make recommendations to the customer on what components will need to be replaced
  • Ensure analysis, maintenance and repair recommendations are provided to appropriate groups in a timely manner
  • Rapid escalation to the appropriate individuals and/ or groups of any machine down situations
  • Accountable for building and maintaining a reporting database of all equipment technical issues
  • Technical support for commercial and operations team to provide value based insights in support of customer objectives
  • Oversee repair execution effectiveness and establishment of best practices recommendations

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician with mechanical experience/aptitude
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a customer service role
  • Strong experience and technical background with Caterpillar Mining products Strong organizational, problem solving and time management skills
  • Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
  • A high attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Self-starter and ability to work in a team environment as well as independently Valid drivers abstract
