Our team is looking to add a New Business Writer. The New Business Writer, reporting to the Personal Lines Manager, will have a unique opportunity to connect with the community to generate new business opportunities and provide comprehensive support for Home & Auto Insurance.


What you’ll do:

· Provide excellent customer service to leads providing them with quotes for home and auto insurance.

· Use creativity and professionalism to generate new leads through a variety of prospecting techniques

· Partner with internal teammates to ensure seamless customer experience

· Respond to insurance company inquiries on the New Business written

· Work within regulatory and internal guidelines in respect to Insurance sales

· Be active in the Insurance community, and be aware of any changes or trends

· Work in a team environment, providing support to other team members

· Represent Ives Insurance at brokerage, community and insurance company functions


Who you are:

  • You have a valid RIBO license, or are working at obtaining one
  • You have strong communication skills
  • A problem solver, who loves a good challenge
  • An organizing master, who is great with time management
  • Passionate about supporting customers
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with high level of accuracy
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook and BMS
