Duration: Until October 31, 2024

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Program Manager to partner closely with other members of functional teams (business line, marketing, design, and technology) to define business requirements. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain insight into customer user experiences on a digital mobile app and be part of a leading digital team for one of the big 5 Banks.

Typical Day in role:

  • Develop, track, and manage project budget, project WBS, timelines, and scope.
  • Manage project resources, developing, motivating, coaching, and advising team members.
  • Define test plans and ensure that products are defect-free before User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Facilitate the UAT process, developing rollout plans and procedures.
  • Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses; ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized.
  • Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors.
  • Attend meetings regularly, informing stakeholders and meeting with the team.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 3 to 4+ years of proven IT Project Management experience using Agile methodologies
  • 1 to 2 years’ + experience as a Program Manager – managing multiple IT initiatives
  • 1+ years’ experience with project management tools and software: Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Experience with developing UAT test plans
  • CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) certification
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM implementation and improvement.
  • CSM/Agile Certifications

Soft Skills Required:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • People management and team-building skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment.
  • Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and work well with business partners at different levels within the organization
  • Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions.
  • Demonstrate creativity and adaptability when identifying solutions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives.
  • Demonstrate proactivity and accountability

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, technical field preferred
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
  • CSM/Agile Certifications
