KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Design, execute, and uphold program initiatives that align with strategic goals.
  2. Plan, coordinate, and supervise interconnected projects, ensuring effective cross-project collaboration.
  3. Deliver program management leadership and expertise for large-scale, complex, high-profile, and high-risk initiatives that may span multiple jurisdictions or the entire enterprise.
  4. Establish and implement program assessment frameworks aimed at evaluation and enhancement to optimize return on investment.
  5. Uphold organizational standards for satisfaction, quality, and performance, ensuring accountability for the centralized group of projects and their successful delivery throughout their lifecycle.
  6. Oversee various project teams to ensure program objectives are met.
  7. Administer budget and funding streams to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  8. Collaborate closely with Program Leads, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to create program-related processes that support consistent practices for benefits realization through an agile project management methodology.
  9. Develop, monitor, and manage timelines for projects and initiatives.
  10. Guide program teams to achieve optimal return on investment and coordinate cross-project initiatives effectively.
  11. Formulate and manage program budgets, ensuring accountability for achieving established business goals and objectives.
  12. Work alongside other program managers to identify challenges, risks, and opportunities across various projects within the department.
  13. Analyze, assess, and resolve program challenges and risks, producing comprehensive program reports for management and stakeholders.
  14. Prepare detailed progress and status reports for program directors and committees, including governance bodies, ensuring alignment among existing and new governance structures.
  15. Ensure programs are executed efficiently and cost-effectively, adhering to established methodologies, standards, and frameworks.
  16. Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer to designated staff to facilitate continuity in operational activities and sustainability.
  17. Create comprehensive technical project documentation, user manuals, and various business cases, including submissions for relevant oversight bodies, to ensure effective delivery of critical business processes.

  • Demonstrated experience as a Program Manager within the Public Sector.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.

  • Comprehensive understanding of program scope, management, and operations.
