We are a proud Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to providing employees work-life balance: with a competitive compensation: package including:- Top wages- Benefit coverage for you and your dependents- Employer RRSP contributions (no match required)- Employee Share Ownership- Vacation and Sick/FR daysWe currently have an opening in Mississauga, ON: for a:BIM/VDC Coordinator:The BIM/VDC Coordinator supports projects through the use and implementation of VDC tools and BIM processes.How will you contribute to the team. :To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:- Build virtual models from drawings and specifications or digital drawings.- Manipulate and edit 3D models for visualization, coordination and estimating purposes.- Manage and coordinate composite 3D models.- Work with the design team to monitor and support the design process.- Work with the site team to support planning and execution of the project.- Run clash detection reports.- Manage BIM coordination meetings.- Produce sketches and 2D drawings required for planning and construction of the projects.- Maintain digital libraries of CAD data.- Extract quantities from 3D models.Education and Experience:- Diploma from a Architectural, Engineering or Construction Management program.- Prior experience as a CAD Technologist, Architectural Technologist or Drafter is an asset.- 3 years of experience in construction with 1 year experience of 3D modeling and/or drafting.- Able to read architectural, structural, civil, mechanical and electrical design discipline blueprints.- Must have a minimum 2 years of Auto CAD and Revit experience.- Have knowledge of Navisworks.- Have prior working experience with a General Contractor.- Effective oral and written communication skills.- Familiar with CAD standards.- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, WORD, Outlook, Power Point).Working Conditions:- Opportunities to learn and work with latest technologies: Reality Capture, Virtual/Augmented Reality, Drones, Laser Scanners, Digital Twins.- Great work environment, with support by Specialists with 15+ years of BIM/VDC experience.- Opportunity for growth to a Senior position, managing multiple BIM/VDC projects.- Office and site-based position.
