Description: The Renewables and The Energy Transition divisions of a FTSE 100 energy business both seek Solicitors and Senior Solicitors to support the business on cutting edge projects. These are exciting opportunities to develop your legal skills in a high profile and rapidly evolving sector playing a critical role in supporting the transition towards net zero.

Responsibilities:
  1. Working collaboratively and providing legal advice and support to various senior stakeholders on commercial and corporate matters such as general contracts, M&A, JVs, and transactional support.
  2. Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements on complex projects.
  3. Support tendering opportunities.
  4. Advising the business on legal and regulatory obligations; providing input into the internal governance and regulatory processes.
  5. Gain a clear understanding of strategic priorities and assist in ensuring these are delivered.
  6. Build and maintain good business relationships.
  7. Depending on your seniority, you may manage other more junior lawyers in the team and engage and manage external counsel.
We are looking for:
  1. Qualified lawyer in either Scotland, England and Wales, or Ireland.
  2. Trained with a well-regarded law firm or in-house, preferably with knowledge of the energy or utilities sector.
  3. Confident solicitor with Commercial and/or Corporate law experience.
  4. Experience working on complex projects, ideally with some exposure to energy projects.
