Job summary

We are currently searching for a driven professional to join our Operations Team in the position of Project Manager, Operational Excellence. In this role, you will report to the Director, Operations – Ridge & Operational Excellence and play a pivotal role on various process improvement and cost saving projects. You will ensure best practices in project management including schedule creation and adherence and clear communication.

As Project Manager, Operational Excellence you will…

  • Plan, execute, and manage a variety of projects throughout their lifecycle to ensure that they
  • are completed on schedule.
  • Develops, manages and improves a project management plan that outlines scope, savings,
  • resources and other services that are necessary to deliver the project.
  • Develops, assists and coaches on project charter with sponsor(s) and team members.
  • Works closely with Finance team to ensure cost is being calculated and tracked properly.
  • Organizes and conducts meetings with project staff, stakeholders and management to
  • communicate information related to each function’s needs concerning project requirements.
  • Develops and manages stakeholder relationship and expectations, progress reports,
  • Anticipates potential roadblocks and develops solutions to prevent issues from arising.
  • Actively and proactively engage in the ongoing management and improvement of Aurora’s
  • quality and project management systems.
  • Where applicable, promote and maintain GMP requirements.
  • Other duties as required.

It would be great if you have…

  • 5+ years of project management experience in the manufacturing, food production or
  • Demonstrated experience applying knowledge of project execution, data analysis skill, safety
  • and quality. Track records of successfully planning and executing projects on schedule.
  • Experience managing projects involving multi-disciplinary teams operating in a fast-paced,
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Blet would be considered an asset.
  • PMP designation or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of the emerging cannabis industry would be considered an asset.
