Responsibilities

In this Accountant role in Etobicoke, you will be responsible for the following:

  1. Maintain accurate financial records for manufacturing operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  2. Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
  3. Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making within the manufacturing department.
  4. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
  5. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes for manufacturing operations.
  6. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cost control and process improvement initiatives.
  8. Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation and support to auditors.
  9. Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
  10. Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations relevant to the manufacturing industry.

Qualifications

We are looking for the following for this Accountant role located in Etobicoke:

  1. Minimum 3 years of accounting experience across all aspects of the function.
  2. A bachelor’s degree in either business administration or accounting.
  3. Experience working with MS Dynamics including Great Plains or D365 is a great asset.
  4. Experience working in a similar industry is an asset.
