About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join our team at Great Connections Employment Services. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for leading our accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation and review of our financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Operations: Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and treasury.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to management on financial performance and trends.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of accounting tasks.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field.
  • CPA Designation: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or related discipline, preferably in a manufacturing setting with direct exposure to inventory controls.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar/managerial role with experience leading a team.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial transactional activities, including accounting, payroll, revenue and expenditure control, ERP systems, internal control principles, and financial management practices.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent-level skills using MS Office suite, specifically Excel; creating complex worksheets including macros and pivot tables. Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
