Medical Device Sales Rep (CALGARY, ALB.)

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Overachieve annual sales targets;
  • Implement the marketing plan in accordance with brand strategy;
  • Develop an annual action plan and tactical implementation directions to maximize sales efforts in his/her territory;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers ( key GPs, nurses, pharmacists, opinion leaders, home healthcare professionals, etc.); identify their needs, inform them about products and provide quality service and specific product training;
  • Identify, recognize and optimize the chain of influence;
  • Have in-depth knowledge of our products and competing products and promote our products through the judicious and professional use of sales cycle promotional tools;
  • Maintain an optimal level of knowledge and keep abreast of all scientific advances in the therapeutic field;
  • Respect the principles defined in the business plan with respect to scope, objectives and frequency;
  • Manage the medical education budgets allocated to his/her territory;
  • Organize continuing medical education activities to meet the needs of external customers and of the company internally;
  • Teach healthcare professionals by building trust and questioning treatment habits and preferences in an appropriate manner;
  • Ensure that patients are at the center of all interactions with healthcare professionals;
  • Use the customer relationship management system to ensure the measurability of sales activities in the field for performance evaluation purposes;
  • Attend company meetings and major conferences;
  • Perform administrative tasks according to established deadlines;
  • Comply with policies and procedures established;
  • Perform any other tasks related to the position.

Position requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a sales representative in the Canadian market;
  • Record of success in sales;
  • Advanced computer knowledge (Microsoft Office suite and CRM);
  • Valid driver’s license and passport;
  • Availability to travel.
  • Owning a car
  • Bilingual French & English is ESSENTIAL (spoken and written)

Assets:

  • Bachelor of Science or Business Administration;
  • Experience as a medical device or pharmaceutical representative in the Canadian market;
  • Phlebology, Lymphology, Orthopaedics, Wound care selling experience would be a great asset;
  • Compression therapy experience and/or knowledge would be an asset;
