Adecco in partnership with The Indigenous Centre for Cumulative Effects (ICCE) is seeking a Director of Operations. ICCE is an Indigenous-founded, Indigenous-led, and exclusively Indigenous-serving organization that supports Indigenous communities through a Two-Eyed Seeing approach. The primary objective is to build and enhance the technical and scientific capacity of Indigenous communities across Canada, based on the values of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities. ICCE provides funding for community-led projects, shares knowledge, and fosters partnership building for intergenerational decision-making.
About YouYou are a seasoned operations leader with extensive experience in managing a diversified portfolio of organizational functions including HR, Finance, Events, IT, Legal, and Board Administration. Your expertise lies in effectively administering and optimizing these functions. You excel in financial oversight and strategic planning. Your proficiency in working with digital tools enhances productivity and goal achievement. You are a proactive problem solver and an exceptional communicator capable of conveying complex information clearly. Adaptability is one of your key strengths.
About the RoleThe Director of Operations is a senior position responsible for overseeing the operational functions of our non-profit. You will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of services and administration while supporting long-term strategic initiatives. Your role includes managing external service providers in legal, financial services, HR, IT, board services, and travel & events. The goal is to transition to fully internal delivery of these services within two to three years.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Oversight: Manage and optimize diversified organizational functions.
- Stakeholder and Partners Management: Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and partners.
- Resource Allocation and Budget Control: Oversee budgeting and resource allocation.
- Risk Management: Implement policies to protect the organization from legal and operational risks.
- Service Provider Management: Administer and oversee service providers to ensure quality service delivery.
Minimum of 5 years in senior management roles with similar organizations, demonstrating deep experience in administering various teams. At least 10 years of relevant career experience in operations with a strong focus on financial management. High technological proficiency is essential due to the digital nature of our processes.
