Adecco, in partnership with The Indigenous Centre for Cumulative Effects (ICCE), an Indigenous-founded, Indigenous-led, and exclusively Indigenous-serving organization, is seeking a Director of Operations. The primary objective is to build and enhance the technical and scientific capacity of Indigenous communities across Canada, based on the values of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities. ICCE provides funding for community-led projects, shares knowledge, and links Indigenous communities together, working towards intergenerational decision-making and partnership building.
About YouYou are a seasoned operations leader with extensive experience in managing a diversified portfolio of organizational functions including HR, Finance, Events, IT, Legal, and Board Administration. Your expertise lies in effectively administering and optimizing these functions. You excel in financial oversight, balancing day-to-day management with long-term strategic objectives. Skilled in a technology-driven environment, you use digital tools to enhance productivity and achieve organizational goals. Your proactive problem-solving skills and exceptional communication abilities make you an invaluable asset.

The Director of Operations is a senior position responsible for overseeing the operational functions of our non-profit. You will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our services and administration, while supporting our long-term strategic initiatives. Additionally, you will oversee the management of external service providers in areas such as legal, financial services, HR, IT, board services, and travel & events. Your goal is to build internal capacity for these functions with the aim of transitioning to fully internal delivery of administrative and financial services within two to three years.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Oversight: Manage and optimize diversified organizational functions including HR, Finance, Events, IT, Legal, and Board Administration.
- Stakeholder and Partners Management: Build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and partners.
- Resource Allocation and Budget Control: Oversee budgeting and the allocation of resources, focusing especially on financial management and oversight.
- Risk Management: Implement and maintain policies and procedures to protect the organization from legal and operational risks.
- Service Provider Management: Administer and oversee managed service providers to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and quality service delivery.
Minimum of 5 years in senior management roles with similar organizations, demonstrating deep experience in administering HR, Finance, Events, IT, Legal, and Board Administration teams. At least 10 years of relevant career experience in an operations capacity, with a strong focus on financial management. High degree of technological proficiency is essential, given the fully digital nature of our operational processes.
