Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a talented and innovative Senior Restaurant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring over 5 years of experience in management and administration and at least 3 years of experience in cooking in fine cuisine along with great knowledge in Caribbean and International menus. As a key member of our outstanding and creative team, you will be responsible for menu creation, food preparation, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and sanitation are maintained. You will also be responsible for the management of the restaurant’s daily operations, the supply and distribution of all goods and services, and most importantly, all staff.

Responsibilities:

  1. Study recipes and develop menus that showcase creativity and culinary expertise.
  2. Oversee the daily operations of food preparation and production, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  3. Delegate tasks to kitchen staff and provide guidance as needed.
  4. Ensure compliance with sanitation regulations and food safety standards.
  5. Plan and execute food preparation for special events and functions.
  6. Manage inventory, including stocktaking and ordering supplies as needed.
  7. Handle all correspondence and negotiations with suppliers.
  8. Supervise and train all staff to maintain a high level of performance and productivity.
  9. Recruit and hire all new staff and oversee training.
  10. Schedule all staff and monitor their performance.
  11. Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
  12. Handle all customer complaints and conflicts.

Qualifications:

  1. Completion of a Degree / Diploma in Management or related field.
  2. Minimum of 10 years experience in administration / management.
  3. Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and international and Caribbean cuisines.
  4. Proven ability to plan and direct food preparation activities in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Minimum 3 years experience in working in a restaurant.
  6. 5 years experience in a leadership role with the ability to mentor and motivate staff.
  7. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
  8. 3 years working with Caribbean culinary cuisine showcasing initiative.
  9. Must have experience and knowledge of Caribbean meals.
  10. Must have experience or knowledge of the supply and demand of goods and services in the food industry.
  11. Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and multitask effectively.
  12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  13. Extensive knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards.
  14. HACCP or equivalent and food safety certified.
  15. Demonstrated ability to teach, coach, and manage a team of 10+ Kitchen staff.
  16. Strong team building and customer service skills.
  17. Demonstrated experience in fine dining, buffet & banquet functions required.
  18. Demonstrated creativity in menu development and concept required.
  19. Proven financial management skills working with budgets in excess of $200,000.
