The Sr Provisioning Specialist is the main point of contact for end users, providing technical support on new deployments, and requires an expert understanding of client platform technologies resolving associated Incidents and Requests that are assigned within the team. It is the last of three progressive levels in Provisioning and Programming Team, based in complexity of technology and associated support, along with accompanying required experience.

How you will create impact:

  • Implement a comprehensive lifecycle asset management program for end-user devices, ensuring efficient utilization and secure disposal of outdated devices.
  • Administer virtual desktop infrastructure, streamlining onboarding and offboarding processes for virtual machines.
  • Manage request fulfillment and incident response, prioritizing based on impact and urgency, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for Provisioning Specialists, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
  • Serve as the primary contact for addressing user inquiries and troubleshooting issues including end-user corporate mobility issues, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Conduct thorough quality, compliance, and security checks before deploying endpoints, following technical documentation guidelines.
  • Provide comprehensive setup and support for new users, offering both local and remote assistance for hardware and software issues, remote installations and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and develop and maintain a repository of technical knowledge for troubleshooting and resolving advanced desktop computing issues.
  • Coordinate with external support services, equipment suppliers, and business partners when required.
  • Offer comprehensive support for all services rendered by the Provisioning and Programming team, including educating clients on their roles in hardware and software processes.
  • Employ in-depth knowledge of Intune, command prompt, and scripting to facilitate laptop shutdowns and access removal during employee terminations.
  • Oversee intricate projects and tasks within the Provisioning team, guiding and supporting Specialist roles.
  • Apply project management skills to effectively plan, prioritize, and execute technology deployment projects, considering timelines and technical requirements.
  • Maintain and support internal Provisioning Tools and Systems from a developer's standpoint, aiding in Refresh Projects, vendor integration, and understanding workflow incidents and requests. Support the Lead Provisioning Programmer as needed.
  • Proactive identification of improvement areas in team operations, followed by structured proposals to leadership.
  • Advocacy for automation and quality improvement initiatives, utilizing tools such as API integrations and PowerShell scripting to streamline Project Refresh and KTLO activities.
  • Continuous refinement of team processes for enhanced clarity and efficiency, ensuring effective collaboration with other teams.
  • Contribution to the evolution of IT standards, procedures, and guidelines, aiming to optimize efficiency and reduce expenses.

To join our team:

  • Degree or diploma in Information Technology or a related field with 5+ years IT experience, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of various technologies such as MDM, Autopilot, Intune, Azure Virtual Machines, Windows 365, and the Windows 10 and 11 environments is an asset.
  • iOS and MacOS platform knowledge including JamF and ABM is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Hardware, Operating Systems, Virtualization, Networking, Identity and Storage to build, troubleshoot and support desktop devices.
  • Certification(s) a plus in following disciplines: Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft Managed Endpoints, CompTIA A+, ITIL, Dell Tech Direct Certifications, and Apple Hardware Certifications.
  • Practical experience implementing and supporting Windows and Mac environments technical competencies.
  • Passion for staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies including hardware and software, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Expertise in mobility technology specifically iPhones and iOS including setting up, troubleshooting, and configuring for end users and VIPs.
  • Programming skills with JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, PowerShell, MSSQL, Golang, C++, Python and Azure DevOps to support internal Asset Management tools is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Hardware, Operating Systems, Virtualization, Networking, Identity and Storage to build, troubleshoot and support desktop devices.
  • Working in a mid to large scale Financial Services organization supporting end users is an asset.
