Reporting to the Supervisor or delegate, the Team Leader 1 coordinates and assists in the provision of clerical support for Prevention Services. Supervises administrative support staff. Attends senior support staff and other meetings to discuss and provide input into policies and procedures. Participates in the provision of clerical support services, such as typing routine, complex and confidential reports, searching computer records and providing input in the development of forms, handouts and promotional materials.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And Experience

High school graduation or equivalent, certificate in office administration and three years' recent and relevant office experience, including one year supervisory experience of a responsible nature, or completion of supervisory course, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge of Prevention Services Programs, such as Public Health Nursing, Speech and Hearing, and Dental Services.

Skills And Abilities
  • Typing speed of 55 wpm.
  • Thorough knowledge of Business English, general office procedures, and equipment.
  • Ability to operate a computer including advanced word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics software.
  • Ability to set up complex correspondence, reports, etc.
  • Ability to work with stress and deadline pressures.
  • Initiative, judgment, organizational skills, and positive team attitude.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in an independent setting, without on-site supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
