Marketing Coordinator

Job Description Summary

Assist the Marketing Manager, as required, on planning and execution of all advertising, sales promotion, and special events. Assist in developing correspondence with customers, retailers, office tenants and partners. Manage day to day social media communications. Maintain the filing system, and other administrative tasks including tracking marketing expenses, and revenues as it relates to the marketing budget. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Administration

  1. Provide administrative support to Marketing Manager including filing system, maintain current records of all advertising materials and other administrative tasks as assigned.
  2. Entry and reconciliation of departmental invoices.
  3. Oversee daily reconciliation of gift cards.

Social & Mobile Marketing

  1. Stay updated on industry trends and competitors' marketing strategies to ensure the mall remains competitive.
  2. Maintain, monitor, and coordinate the Bayshore’s social media accounts.
  3. Create interactive opportunities with tenants and customers integrating web, mobile and social media marketing tactics.
  4. Manage and maintain the mall's social media presence, including creating engaging content, monitoring and responding to comments and reviews, and analyzing performance metrics.
  5. Work with the Marketing Manager to create a monthly social media schedule.
  6. In depth understanding of TikTok, AI and creating reels, keen eye for detail.
  7. Collaborate with tenants and partners to develop giveaways.
  8. Management and monitoring of social media giveaway.

Web Content

  1. Maintain and coordinate the Bayshore’s website to ensure content is up to date and accurate.
  2. Ensure all information on the website supports and represents the BAYSHORE brand.
  3. Work with Bayshore tenants to post job listings, promotions, and updated store information.

Reports

  1. Monthly reporting of relevant website, social media, newsletter, and gift card metrics including but not limited to; pageviews, followers, reach, sales, etc.
  2. Monthly reporting on the Bayshore’s foot traffic to property managers, ownership groups and retailers.

Newsletter and Memos

  1. Consistently produce, curate, and deploy subscriber newsletter with relevant content.
  2. Produce, curate, and deploy quarterly newsletters specific to retail and the individual office buildings.
  3. Assist with producing, curating, and deploying marketing communications out to retail and office tenants.

In-Mall Signage

  1. Coordinate production and installation of in-mall signage in collaboration with the Marketing Manager.

Gift Card Program

  1. Work with Marketing Manager to develop new gift card promotions while elevating existing promotions.
  2. Monitor and report results for all gift card campaigns.
  3. Reconciliation of monthly gift card sales details.

Mall Décor

  1. Assist the Marketing Manager with holiday décor options to support the BAYSHORE brand.
  2. Oversee the installation and dismantle of décor.

Special Events

  1. Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of centre events.
  2. Help identify and implement opportunities that support the BAYSHORE brand.

Office Programs

  1. Assist the Marketing Manager with a tenant experience platform to find information on events, community information, building amenities and more. Tasks are included but not limited to updating event listings, community pages, building information, etc.
  2. Assist in the planning and execution of various office tower tenant appreciation events and promoting office tower amenities.

Miscellaneous

  1. Assist with research as required.
  2. Attend weekly status meetings with the Marketing Manager.
  3. Seek new opportunities to integrate the BAYSHORE website and social marketing tactics to promote the brand.
  4. Assist Marketing Manager, as required on special projects related to both retail and office.

Qualifications:

  1. Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in event management, social media and marketing.
  2. A high level of creativity and energy. Include examples of past work.
  3. Knowledge of graphic design and video editing is a plus.
  4. Experience using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
  5. Prior experience in a marketing, advertising, and customer service environment.
  6. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  7. Strong computer literacy: knowledge of Microsoft applications, internet/web capabilities, social media applications.
  8. Social media marketing knowledge and experience.
  9. Basic bookkeeping and record keeping skills.
  10. Self-motivated.
  11. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
  12. A clean criminal background check will be required as a condition of employment.
