Shifts: Variable; 8 & 12 hour shifts
Salary: $40.40 - $47.53 per hour
Status: Permanent Full Time

Position Summary
Respiratory Therapists provide respiratory therapy service 24/7 to patients in various units.

Duties

  • Assisting with airway management
  • Responding to cardiac and respiratory emergencies
  • Attending intra and inter-hospital transports of critically ill patients
  • Administering medications
  • Acting as a resource for healthcare personnel
  • Teaching patients the use of Respiratory Therapy equipment
  • Performing diagnostic tests
  • Assisting with bronchoscopies and managing ventilated patients
  • Delivering respiratory care throughout the hospital
Qualifications
  • Completion from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Registration with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists preferred
  • Registered with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario
  • Minimum 1 year of practical experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Commitment to professional development
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of relevant policies
