Responsibilities
  1. Plan and control budget and expenditures
  2. Plan, develop, implement and evaluate human resources policies and programs
  3. Train staff
  4. Advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs, and collective agreements
  5. Establish and implement policies and procedures
  6. Assign, co-ordinate and review projects and programs
  7. Plan, develop and implement recruitment strategies
  8. Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales
  9. Administer benefit employment equity and other human resources programs
  10. Manage contracts
  11. Co-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programs
  12. Manage training and development strategies
  13. Oversee the analysis of employee data and information
  14. Research employee benefits and health and safety practices and recommend changes
  15. Oversee development of communication strategies
  16. Oversee the preparation of reports
  17. Advise senior management
  18. Respond to employee questions and complaints
  19. Oversee payroll administration
  20. Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
  21. Provide customer service
  22. Recruit and hire staff
