**Position Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Consult blueprints, designs, and client instructions to ensure each job is on target and quality work is being achieved.
- Provide in-depth Site Daily Reports, complete with photo documentation. Reports to outline the activities performed or completed that day, including any and all communications/meetings with subcontractors, tool logs, site conditions and challenges that may have occurred onsite.
- Manage construction sites, ensuring that trades adhere to construction plans and safety codes. Inspect construction sites regularly to identify, eliminate potential safety hazard and ensure that safety protocols are followed and adhered to.
- Assist the Project Manager with the review of project drawings, specifications and develop project and subcontractor scopes of work.
- Plan, coordinate, request and schedule onsite resources as required. These resources may include; labour, carpentry, tools and equipment as required
- Coordinate, manage and communicate with all municipalities, local authorities, subcontractors to effectively deal with challenges such as deliveries, labour and schedule; evaluates solutions and takes the initiative to ensure the best solution is provided
- Effectively allocate labour, equipment, materials, and trades to maximize safety and profitability and to minimize deficiencies. Actively manage project change orders; from pricing to processing & planning the workflow and assessing cost and schedule impact.
- Provide ongoing management of quality control and ability to identify and effectively communicate corrective actions required
- Provide excellent customer interaction to client to ensure enquiries and concerns are addressed promptly and effectively, maintaining, and enhancing the Client’s reputation.
- Familiarity with Canadian Construction Association contracts (i.e. CCA1, CCDC contracts).
- Work closely with all trades, ensuring they are scheduled according to the project plan, or otherwise scheduled to address any changes to the plan. Maintain a professional and trusting relationship.
- Effectively schedule projects to ensure deadlines are met on time, on budget and on target.
- Schedule, monitor and supervise trades work quality and production levels to ensure the highest standards are achieved.
- Correspond with Project Manager regarding all contract discrepancies or adjustments as required, ensuring any specialty materials are ordered in advance in order to meet deadlines.
- Attend regularly scheduled meetings on site with office staff, owners, stakeholders and subcontractors as required
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in residential and commercial building.
- Completion of a post-secondary education construction training program.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred at the college or university level or a combination of extensive knowledge and skills.
- Proven experience working as a Site Supervisor in the Construction Industry.
- CPR and first aid certifications.
- Sound knowledge of building codes and construction safety regulations.
- Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
- The ability to interpret blueprints.
