Job Description

Our client is seeking a dedicated Financial Accountant to oversee financial reporting for three distinct operating companies within their reputable organization based in Moncton, NB. This permanent role will collaborate closely with company management and the Group Controller to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Accounts receivable
  • Accounts payable
  • Electronic payroll processing
  • Prepare government remittances
  • Prepare HST remittances
  • Month-end processes
  • Data and file management
  • Other accounting duties as required
Skills & Attributes for Success:
  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business
  • 3 5 years similar experience in an accounting or finance role
  • Prior experience with third-party payroll processing is a definite asset
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel) and Sage accounting software is a definite asset
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of GAAP
  • Strong attention to detail coupled with superior organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Positive and professional communication skills with the ability to deliver financial information effectively and efficiently
  • Team player with a dedicated work ethic
