Edmonton, Canada The University Hospital Foundation (uhf) Full time
Our Background

At the University Hospital Foundation, we want to help people live longer, and better – especially those who would benefit from a new form of treatment, or life-saving surgery.

As agents of hope, we boldly seek solutions to seemingly insurmountable challenges, matching the determination and purpose-driven intensity of the healthcare teams we support.

In the past ten years, generous donations from individuals and our corporate and strategic partners have contributed nearly $220 million dollars to advance world-leading patient care at the University of Alberta Hospital, Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute and Kaye Edmonton Clinic, as well as ground-breaking research at the University of Alberta.

Your Purpose

As the Volunteer Specialist you will play a key role in the successful execution of UHF’s signature events including Festival of Trees, Festival in the Garden, Heart Pledge Day and other high profile, recognition events.

You will foster positive relationships with volunteers and ensure their seamless integration into the Foundation's initiatives, while also providing crucial support to the People Team.

Your Role

Reporting to the Director, People the Volunteer Specialist will work to develop and execute a comprehensive volunteer strategy to support the UHF’s signature events and overall operations.

You are comfortable with juggling multiple different tasks such as volunteer recruitment, performance management, scheduling coordination, and volunteer engagement initiatives.
