Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Build and manage client relationships at a senior level and identify client service opportunities.
  2. Review of personal and corporate tax returns as well as audit, review and compilation engagements and financial statement disclosures.
  3. Deliver high quality service and business advice to clients.
  4. Work closely with the partners and other senior staff on business processes and compliance of accounting standards and tax laws.
  5. Provide support, coaching and development to firm staff at all levels.
  6. Preparation and presentation of technical/internal sessions to firm staff.
  7. Managing engagement financials including budgets, work in process variances and billing.
A successful candidate will have:

  1. Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Designation or equivalent.
  2. 5-10+ years of public accounting or other relevant experience.
  3. High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Caseware, and TaxPrep considered an asset.
  4. Excellent attention to detail and project management skills.
  5. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  6. Strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively as part of a team.
  7. Understanding of a client-focused fast paced work environment and the ability to effectively pivot between tasks, prioritize and manage deliverables to meet conflicting deadlines.
  8. Experience working with owner managed businesses considered an asset.
