We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant with a minimum 2 to 4 years post CPA graduation experience in Canada with exceptional attention to detail and interpersonal skills. There will be room for advancement for the right candidate applying for this role. Experience preparing personal tax returns (T1), corporation tax (T2) and/or conducting assurance engagements is required.

We are a growing firm of CPAs located in Oakville providing audit, tax, valuation and other advisory services. Our firm provides a great work life balance in addition to working in a relaxed positive environment. Our client base is expanding rapidly and requires a wide array of services. This role is excellent for someone who excels at learning new responsibilities, loves the diversity of a small firm entrepreneurial environment and working to assist many clients with their accounting, tax and other specialized services.

Job Responsibilities

  • Preparation of notice to reader, review and audit engagements
  • Preparation of T1, T2 and T3 tax returns
  • Preparation of financial statements and appropriate disclosures
  • Working knowledge of Caseware, Microsoft office suite and Tax Prep
  • Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships
  • Develop strong technical audit, accounting and tax skills
  • Delivering to the highest service standards and being very client focused
  • Identifying and resolving accounting, audit and tax issues

Skill Requirements

  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • CPA with public accounting experience in Canada
  • A university or college degree
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong grasp of the English language.
