Hardware Design Engineer

Purpose of PositionResponsible for electronics hardware design. Works as part of a team in a collaborative environment and under the direction of team lead to design electronic hardware for UV products. These products disinfect water using ultraviolet light.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign electronic boards for UV productsBoard bring up of electronic assembliesInputs to testing team for design, construction and deployment of test fixturesUse programming tools to program and assist with debugging micro-controller devicesBackground and SkillsElectronics designer or equivalent educationProficient in mixed signal designGood experience in power electronics designExperienced in prototyping and testing of electronic board assemblies. Good soldering skills.Experience with high voltage design (up to 480VAC) and awareness of applicable safety proceduresExpert user of high-speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, desktop power supplies, logic analyzers, spectrum and network analyzersProficient with personal computer (PC) applications including MS officeEffective written and verbal communications skillsAbility to work collaboratively in small teamsAttention to detail and commitment to qualityAble to work collaboratively with a team where striving to continuously find a better way of doing things is expected and valued.
