Position Title: Hardware Engineer

Location: London, Ontario, CANADA (Onsite)

Role Overview:

  • Accountable for the verification of electronic hardware components.
  • Collaborates within a team-oriented environment, guided by electronics designers to evaluate electronic hardware utilized in UV disinfection products.
  • These innovative products utilize ultraviolet light for effective water purification.

Primary Duties:

  • Conduct testing and debugging of electronic assemblies at the board level employing laboratory instruments (AC, DC power sources, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters).
  • Engage in troubleshooting of electronic assemblies, contributing insights for failure analysis.
  • Support the design, fabrication, and implementation of testing fixtures.
  • Utilize programming tools for microcontroller device programming and debugging assistance.
  • Facilitate and assist in thermal evaluations of electronic assemblies.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and documentation of test results.

Qualifications and Expertise:

  • Background as an electronics technician or equivalent educational experience.
  • Proficient in prototyping and evaluating electronic board assemblies with strong soldering capabilities.
  • Extensive experience in PCB and system-level troubleshooting.
  • Solid understanding of electronics manufacturing and design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
  • Advanced proficiency with high-speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, desktop power supplies, logic analyzers, and spectrum/network analyzers.
  • Competent in personal computer applications, including MS Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively in collaborative small teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Capable of contributing to a team culture that values continuous improvement and innovation.
