Purpose of Position

Responsible for electronics hardware design. Works as part of a team in a collaborative environment and under the direction of team lead to design electronic hardware for UV products. These products disinfect water using ultraviolet light.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design electronic boards for UV products
  • Board bring up of electronic assemblies
  • Inputs to testing team for design, construction and deployment of test fixtures
  • Use programming tools to program and assist with debugging micro-controller devices


Background and Skills

  • Electronics designer or equivalent education
  • Proficient in mixed signal design
  • Good experience in power electronics design
  • Experienced in prototyping and testing of electronic board assemblies. Good soldering skills.
  • Experience with high voltage design (up to 480VAC) and awareness of applicable safety procedures
  • Expert user of high-speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, desktop power supplies, logic analyzers, spectrum and network analyzers
  • Proficient with personal computer (PC) applications including MS office
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in small teams
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Able to work collaboratively with a team where striving to continuously find a better way of doing things is expected and valued.
