GENERAL INTRODUCTION:

The Archbishop, visible principle of unity in his archdiocese, is called to build up the particular Church unceasingly in the communion of all its members, and to ensure that their diverse gifts and ministries, in union with the universal Church, serve to build up all the faithful and to spread the Gospel. (Apostolorum Successores 8). He must take care that all the affairs which belong to the administration of the whole archdiocese are duly coordinated and are ordered to attain more suitably the good of the portion of the people of God entrusted to him.” (Apostolorum Successores 177).

Each position employed in the Chancery helps to extend the ministry of the Archbishop in particular ways as outlined in the position description.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL PURPOSE:

Provides data analysis, data cleaning, and data migration to assist the synching of– Pushpay/Parishstaq and the Development Departments fund raising system Raiser’s Edge NXT SaaS application. Provide parishioner reporting and data analytics.

ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES:

1) In partnership with the PES Program Manager, Development operations and other Chancery Staff, support data maintenance, updates, and develop business solutions including:

a) Identify and analyze data functions and processes including interviewing and collaboration with stakeholders to identify areas of improvement, present findings to management

b) Clean and prepare data including:

i) Develop and facilitate data de-duplication processes and the ParishStaq/Raisers Edge) RE NXT sync “Bridge” processes

ii) Prepare data in support of en masse uploads where appropriate

c) Analyze data and processes for trends, processing challenges and recommend solutions

d) Develop processes and visualizations to communicate insights and workflows

e) R/E NXT Sync:

i) Works on and assures that the initial upload of each Pastoral unit into R/E NXT is complete

ii) Assists the program manager with a deeper understanding of the R/E NXT data structure as it relates to R/E NXT sync. Including field mapping plan for data migration

iii) Develops algorithms and procedures for record matching and duplicate checking for each pastoral unit’s database and the Archdiocesan wide database

iv) Develops and updates internal checklists and general PnP for the ParishStaq and R/E NXT sync

v) Operates as a key liaison between the PES Program Manager and the R/E NXT point of contact from the Development team.

vi) Leads data upload from ParishStaq to R/E NXT including data cleanup, exclusions, and follow up with parishes as a result of the migration for each pastoral unit/site to assure data quality. Including documenting and maintaining process for parish updates. Contact and follow up with parishes with appropriate updates.

vii) Collaborates with Development team regarding Import ‘O Matic Plus implementation and data processing integration as it relates to ParishStaq

2) In strategic alignment with Archdiocesan goals, works with the ParishStaq PES program manager regarding data analysis and data integrity within ParishStaq ensuring smooth operational use of ParishStaq.

a) Supports Stabilization and Optimization initiatives for the post-implementation phase of ParishStaq use

b) Test and implement new systems or procedures to enhance efficiency and increase use of ParishStaq

c) Manages Data Folders: Develops secure folder structure for data as it comes in from parishes and is sent to parishes

d) Supports Program Manager in ensuring industry standard security practices are followed in protecting data

e) Assists with data standardization across all instances

f) Acts as a liaison with vendor data team to resolve data errors or conflicts

g) Comply with security, data integrity and archival policies.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Primary:

a. Willingness and ability to support the mission of the Church by extending the ministry of the Archbishop.

b. Ability and desire to use God-given gifts and talents in service of the local Church in support of the collaboration between lay and ordained Ministers.

2. Education:

a. Some college highly preferred.

3. Experience:

a. Experience working within Parish administration or within operational management

b. At least 2 years’ experience working with data analytics, customer management or fundraising system,

preferably in a relational database environment

c. Familiar with query, data manipulation, import ,and export functions in a database.

d. Strong user of MS Excel and MS Access

4. Other Elements:

a. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects and set priorities to meet deadlines.

b. Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and data manipulation.

c. Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact and problem solve any data concerns with constituents, parish and Archdiocesan staff.

d. Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

e. Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.

f. Work may be performed remotely.

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
