Supply& Demand Planner

(Consumer Goods, 1-year contract)

Our client,a well-known Food & Beverage Consumer Goods Company, is looking to hire a seasoned Supply & Demand Planner to support their business. This role is a 1-year contract thatwill include a competitive compensation package and benefits. Please inquire for further details.

This is a Hybridrole, that will require 3 days in office for meetings and collaboration. Thecompany office is located in Markham, Ontario.

Reporting tothe Associate Director of Supply Chain, the Supply & Demand Planner will beresponsible for managing inventory, scheduling, and ensuring the smooth flowof finished goods within the company’s supply chain operations. Expertise inERP systems and proficiency in software such as SAP, Blue Yonder, and Excelwill be vital. A background in manufacturing, or food CPG would beadvantageous, bringing valuable insights to the team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee inventory management, on the lookouteye on stock levels and expiration dates.
  • Supply Planning for new item introductions,transitions, and product discontinuance.
  • Create and manage schedules to optimize theflow of goods within our supply chain
  • Manage inventory levels (prebuilds) based onforecasting bias, process line shutdowns, sourcing changes, new products, newlocations, product conversions and unique customer supply management.
  • Responsible for long term capacity planningfor contract manufactures in collaboration with Contract Manufacturing Partnersboth internal/external
  • Utilize your experience with ERP systems toaccurately record and track inventory data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams toupdate and refine demand forecasts.
  • Perform weekly checks on inventory accuracyand conduct monthly inventory assessments.
  • Contribute to data entry tasks, ensuringaccuracy and completeness of information.
  • Proficiently utilize software tools includingSAP, Blue Yonder, and Excel to enhance supply chain operations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and buildrelationships to collaborate on projects and drive business changes
  • Conduct what if analysis and scenario plansto ensure supply of product and timelines.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Post secondary education
  • APICS certification an asset
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in Supply Chainspecifically within Demand or Supply Planning
  • Knowledge and experience with an ERP system,SAP an asset
  • Knowledge and experience in a planningsystem, Blue Yonder an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (specificallyExcel)

Skills

  • Able to work with complex data systems andperform detailed analysis
  • Highly motivated and self-started with theability to problem-solving experience, conducting and identifying root causeanalysis, escalating issues as necessary and meet deadlines
