WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Utilize tools such as RS Means or other benchmarking to accurately estimate construction costs.
  • Develop comprehensive budgets and schedule of values for various projects.
  • Support acquisition due diligence by providing cost estimates for large projects or at-risk building systems.

Construction Projects:

  • Develop detailed Scopes of Work for construction projects to be included in Request for Quote/Proposals (RFQ/RFP).
  • Offer engineering and design support to troubleshoot complex, expensive, or time sensitive projects as needed.
  • Oversee all stages of project planning and execution.
  • Create and manage RFPs for project execution.

Development Projects:

  • Conduct feasibility studies for potential developments and provide inputs into investment models.
  • Coordinate pre-construction activities, including geotechnical, environmental, waterway, market studies and other necessary reports.
  • Obtain proposals and coordinate initial site blocking and design.
  • Liaise with planning consultants and municipalities to optimize development opportunities.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Construction Project Management.
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Electrical, Structural or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in residential or commercial construction environments.
  • Completed or planning to complete PMP certification within the next year.
  • Eligible for registration with APEGA as P.Eng. considered an asset.
  • US construction experience considered an asset.
  • Exceptional problem solving skills, with the ability to bring simplicity and clarity to complex or dynamic situations.
  • Extensive experience in construction cost estimating.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with MS Project or similar project management tools.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or TurboCAD is considered an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
