You will report to the Head of Casualty Claims and be responsible for managing and directing the work activities of a team of Claims Professionals across one or multiple locations. What you will do

  • Leads and directs the administrative activities for the functional areas of Customer Services by assisting in developing, implementing and monitoring administrative and operational policies, procedures and best practices.
  • Appropriately utilizes management tools to assess, evaluate and improve existing workflows, processes, procedures, systems and data quality to enhance outcomes, efficiencies, quality and productivity.
  • Coordinates, manages and champions changes in requirements, strategy and culture across all functional areas of responsibility.
  • Builds rapport and maintains effective relationships with all business partners to improve internal and external customer satisfaction and to achieve business objectives.
  • Executes and effectively monitors activities that support compliance with all internal and audit controls and best practices.
  • Appropriately manages and allocates resources to ensure effective utilization, which meets the needs of the customer.
  • Implements and supports talent management practices to improve performance by participating in goal setting, measuring and monitoring performance, providing feedback, and mentoring, developing and training to staff.
  • Manages and monitors expenditures to support an efficient cost structure.
  • Supports the execution of the business planning process for the functional units in the geographic area for which they are responsible.
  • Works to identify opportunities and risks associated with changes in the external environment relative to improving the department.
  • Acts as a technical resource for the team.

Job Qualifications - What you bring to the table

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Claims area

OR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Claims area

AND

  • 2 or more years of management experience data research and analysis skills
  • Travel 25%

Preferred:

  • 5 or more years of commercial lines Claims experience
  • previous people management experience
  • Strong data research and analysis skills
  • Training and presentation skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Advance Microsoft Suite, and spreadsheet/database skills
  • Organization and multi-tasking skills
