About the Opportunity
Our Government Client is actively seeking a Privacy Specialist who has experience in the Federal Public Service. Our client is seeking a consultant who is knowledgeable with sections 4-8 of the Privacy Act. The consultant will be working closely with stakeholders and different branches to review and resolve backlogged privacy incidents from 2019-2022.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist in developing of policies, procedures, directives and TB guidelines
- Manage and resolve privacy breach files
- Preparing, coordinating and resolving complex and or sensitive privacy incident complaints/allegations involving personal information involving program areas
- Administering and interpreting the Privacy Act
- Identify privacy risks and recommended mitigations
- Supporting case management activities
The successful candidate will have the following:
- 3+ years of experience with the Federal Government processing Privacy Breach files
- 3+ years of experience administering and interpreting the Privacy Act
- 2+ years of experience with privacy incident case files and written representations to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner
- Secret Clearance
This is a 6-month contract with the option to extend.
