Cardinal Health Demand Planner Position

Cardinal Health, with over 1300 employees in Canada, is an essential link in the Canadian healthcare supply chain, providing over 70,000 products to healthcare facilities and medical professionals across the country.

We are looking for positive and team-oriented individual to join our dynamic Supply Chain team in Vaughan. The Demand Planner will be responsible for managing demand planning processes and tools with an eye for improvement. The Demand Planner will also play a key role in the future ERP implementation.

This is a hybrid position. You will be required to come on-site 2 days/week.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Analyzing demand forecasts to identify sales trends and represent any statistical forecasting exceptions
  2. Creating and maintaining forecast models by incorporating business intelligence and forecast information
  3. Developing finished goods demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation
  4. Identifying forecast risk areas and improvement opportunities
  5. Reviewing historical sale trends, researching demand drivers, and preparing forecast data
  6. Developing reporting and automated system alerts for forecast exceptions
  7. Engaging with Sales teams and customer supply chain teams for better inventory planning
  8. Leading seasonal planning across the organization and communicating ideas concisely to stakeholders
  9. Responsible for maintenance of planning system, parameters, and month-end updates
  10. Providing support with data analytics, root cause analysis, and problem resolution
Key Qualifications
  • Possess a strong understanding of statistical forecasting and inventory optimization techniques
  • College/University education in Demand Planning or Supply Chain Management, MBA is an asset
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in relevant field
  • Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and demand planning software
  • Certification in APCIS CPIM, CSCP or IBF CPF is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
