**THE COMPANY**

NuStef Baking Ltd. is a Canadian food manufacturer known across North America for its unique line of specialty, artisan style cookies and crisps. NuStef produces a unique Italian style waffle cookie branded Reko pizzelle and artisan crisps under its Kii naturals and The Crisp Bakery brands. We also produce private label products for some of the largest retailers in North America. We bake our products fresh to order and our cookies are sold primarily in the in-store bakery department and our crisps are sold primarily in the deli department or specialty cracker section at most regional and national retailers.

**JOB SUMMARY**

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Production Planner is accountable for managing the planning and production of customer orders, by utilizing analytical data, forecasted volumes and customer due dates, as well as seasonal and promotional activities to develop production plans that maximize available product time and fully utilize factory capacities. Production scheduling shall also consider raw material and component supply requirements, order of allergens to minimize cleaning and changeovers, product freshness, revenue targets, customer fill rates and minimization of expenses.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Owns the Production Scheduling process across two facilities and works closely with Production, Procurement, Logistics and Sales to ensure production and delivery goals are met.
- Creates production schedules and creates jobs in the system while respecting all material, equipment and personnel constraints.
- Acts as a key business partner to the Sales team, leveraging KPIs to determine priorities, establish order cadence and enforce MOQs.
- Projects short/long-term volume estimates, using input from Sales to provide the system with accurate volumes to be used in budgeting and resource allocations.
- Responsible for forecasting and maintaining vendor-managed inventory levels in order to timely fulfill customer orders.
- Reports forecast and production yield accuracy and root causes for variances to plan.
- Recommends and executes plans to improve system and demand planning accuracy.
- Participates in inventory management and related physical inventory counts.
- Takes part in daily operations reviews to keep the team apprised of schedule changes and upcoming requirements.
- Attends weekly Sales and Operations planning meetings.
- Addresses demand-related and production scheduling issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Serves as backup to the Order & Logistics Specialists and is capable of order entry, freight coordination, product dispatching, creation of shipping documents and invoicing.
- Maintains KPIs for order fulfillment including but not limited to conformance to schedule, on time shipping, shipping completeness, and delivery to customer.
- Resolves inquiries and provide solutions to other departments, vendors and customers ensuring concerns are communicated up in the organization before out of the organization.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Strong relevant education in supply chain and production planning fields.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Minimum two to four years of experience in a CPG manufacturing environment with specific exposures to planning, coordinating, and scheduling production operations.
- Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes.
- Detail-oriented, accurate, and tenacious follow-up.
- Dependable team player that is willing to help others as required.
- Organizational and multi-tasking abilities; not phased by changes.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Busy office setting.
- Occasionally exposed to plant environments, noise, dust, and various aromas of baked goods.
- Occasional pulling, pushing, and lifting to 25 kilograms.
- Repetitive work using computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
- Changes to start/end times may be required based on operational needs.
