Supply Planner

Tegel, New Zealand's leading poultry producer, is committed to staying at the top of our industry. Our success hinges on having an exceptional team across every area of our business, and now we have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Planner to join our team based in Newmarket.

We're seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Supply Planner to ensure our supply chain runs efficiently and without disruption. In this critical role, you will manage demand, plan inventory levels, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver the right products at the right time.

Your focus will be on analyzing inventory data, developing effective supply strategies, and working closely with production and logistics to align supply plans with business goals. Key Responsibilities:

1. Demand Management: Develop and maintain accurate plans to anticipate inventory needs.
2. Inventory Planning & Management: Optimize inventory levels to ensure product availability, minimize excess stock, and manage stock rotation to avoid issues with limited shelf-life inventory.
3. Data Analysis: Identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities through detailed analysis of supply chain data.
4. Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks to maintain smooth operations.
5. Continuous Improvement: Drive and support initiatives aimed at improving supply chain processes and overall efficiency.
6. On-Time Delivery: Achieve high DIFOT (Delivered in Full, On Time) performance and maintain optimal inventory metrics.
7. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team to meet supply chain objectives, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
8. Reporting: Provide regular updates on supply chain performance and key metrics to management.

Minimum Requirements:

1. University degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
2. In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles, with a focus on managing limited shelf-life inventory.
3. Strong ability to analyze data, interpret demand, and develop successful supply strategies.
4. Familiarity with Infor M3 ERP software is a plus.
