Assistant Technical Director – CLA, Langley

CLA staff is a team of talented, hard-working, collaborative, and missionally-minded people who are passionate about joining God in transformation.

Job Description:

We’re looking for an Assistant Technical Director to join our team. In this role, the candidate will help the Technical Director (TD) cultivate volunteer teams, maintain and develop production systems, give administrative support, and bring support to produce high-end audio, media, video, and lighting for Sunday services and mid-week events.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Mix front-of-house or broadcast audio for Sunday services as needed.
  2. Assist the TD in recruiting, training and managing volunteers for service production and all church events.
  3. Provide production support for all worship services and special events.
  4. Provide system maintenance for AVL equipment church-wide as directed by TD.
  5. Help ensure volunteer roles are filled weekly and scheduled monthly.
  6. Manage the Technical Department Planning Center online database by keeping it current.
  7. Assist with creating stage sets for use during weekend services and special events.

  7. Have experience in producing Sunday gatherings, events or other gatherings.
  8. Have an understanding of live audio, media, lighting & video-production systems within a church context.
  9. Aligned with CLA’s mission, focus, and strategy.

Church ministry experience is an asset but not required.
