As the Manager, Unsecured Lending Products, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic business direction of various unsecured lending products. This position contributes to the profitability and revenue growth of the consumer portfolio through the development and maintenance of consumer lending products and initiatives that maximize market share and growth opportunities. In the role, you will ensure that product profitability is maximized, products are competitively positioned and delivered efficiently for existing and future customer needs.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Create and maintain a product development plan for the unsecured lending portfolio for Retail clients
  • Lead the development and implementation of product and marketing objectives and strategies for the portfolio
  • Lead the evaluation and development of client-centric products, programs and product distribution system enhancements
  • Evaluate opportunities through design and review of financial models that analyze risks, costs, budgets and overall financial consequences
  • Develop strategic proposals that fit into the overall department, division and Bank objectives
  • Recommend and implement approved pricing strategies
  • Assess the economic and financial feasibility of new product opportunities
  • Develop and maintain a full understanding of the competitive landscape, competitor products, pricing and delivery channels
  • Maintain awareness of operational procedures, systems and issues facing delivery channels to identify opportunities for product changes
  • Gather and maintain a history of competitive pricing and identify past and future pricing trends, overseeing the development of pricing models to analyze revenue impacts
  • Produce key ad-hoc monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for leadership teams
  • Create business cases for new or enhanced products, systems and operational development
  • Provide ongoing and timely communication support to internal, external and channel partners related to products, polices, procedures, trends and opportunities
  • Partner with stakeholders to obtain their buy-in and resources, mutually proceeding with related plans and projects
  • Develop, execute and facilitate training information sessions, ensuring up to date information is available to field staff and other stakeholders through manuals, job aids, pricing guides, etc.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Multiple years of related professional experience in the Banking industry, with experience and/or knowledge of retail lending products
  • Prior experience in product management, project management or strategy is an asset
  • Experience and competency with P&L analysis, building presentations, project plans and dashboards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • A passion for creating client value and curiosity in consumer lending
