About the opportunity:

As SHE Compliance System Advisoryouwill contribute to the regulatory compliance, strategic development and delivery of the Safety Health and Environmental Management Compliance System across Holcim Australia and New Zealand. You will assist to identify and evaluate regulatory resource materials and contribute to the development of training materials to facilitate national understanding of the SHE Management Systems.

Further responsibilities will include contributing to the implementation of future SHE compliance system enablers such as (e.g. future iCare 2.0 modules, BoG App, Chemalert, Intek Standards, etc.) and SHE data extraction, analysis and reporting for Holcim ANZ's Executive Committee (EXCO) and others as required.

Additional responsibilities are found in the Position Description which is available upon request and will include:

  • Design, development, maintenance and review of corporate health, safety and environment management compliance systems standards, procedures, guidelines, templates and forms in line with statutory requirements.
  • Coordination of safety management compliance systems improvement meetings involving Safety Managers (feedback loop for systems improvement).
  • Coordination of environmental management compliance systems improvement meetings involving HANZ SHE Systems Manager and Environmental Team.
  • Involvement in site visits, audit and self-assessment activity to test effectiveness of systems compliance implementation.
  • Assisting in the design and development of the SHE system on the Google SHE Intranet to ensure the information and processes developed are communicated in a clear and concise way and easily accessed.
  • Supporting the maintenance and/or development of Safety, Health and Environment induction and training courses in Rapid Induct.

About You

  • Relevant qualifications i.e. Diploma Occupational Health and Safety or a Cert IV or Diploma in Environment Science are preferredbut not essential
  • Experience in a similar industry (i.e. infrastructure, construction and mining industries) is preferredbut not essential
  • Current knowledge of WH&S and environmental legislation and practices
  • Strong problem solving skills and high initiative
  • Experience with computer systems including the Google suite, SAI Global 360, ChemAlert, Intek (SAI Global) or like systems is preferable.
  • Ability to extract data, analyse and produce reports is essential.
  • Excellent customer service and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
