HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

The Human Resource Manager will lead, manage, co-ordinate and assist in the activities of the Human Resource Department at Plasman Windsor Tooling, and provide functional support to the HR initiatives of Plasman as required. The responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and managing HR infrastructure (policies and procedures, staff) that support the organizational core business goals.
  2. Promoting an atmosphere of teamwork at all times.
  3. Ensuring that sufficient resources are available for each department including training, safety requirements, personnel, work instructions, procedures, and related tools.
  4. Directing supervisors in maintaining positive employee relations and a safe work environment.
  5. Maintaining an accurate human resources system including employee personnel files, HR Information Systems and other relevant electronic data files.
  6. Overseeing accurate completion of daily time sheets and completion of weekly payroll and associated tasks.
  7. Overseeing effective claims management including investigation of incidents, completion of required forms, and reporting on all workplace injury compensation cases (e.g. WSIB, State Workers Compensation).
  8. Administering all employee benefits and company retirement savings plans.
  9. Providing leadership in training and development including needs analysis, development, coordination, assessment, and record keeping of training.
  10. Leading the Facility's Performance Management system including managing company processes such as job descriptions, performance discussions, evaluations, interventions, and record keeping.
  11. Overseeing the processes to coordinate and maintain all employee vacation time and vacation pay records.
  12. Managing employee absenteeism and attendance program and reporting on statistics.
  13. Leading the Recruitment Process to effectively select employees for all internal and external available positions.
  14. Managing, coordinating, and facilitating all aspects of Health and Safety.
  15. Championing the investigation of employee relations issues including the development and implementation of recommendations.
  16. Maintaining all HR plant related forms and documents to ISO/14001 and ISO9001/TS16949 standards.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the following minimum education qualifications:

  • Must possess post-secondary College or University level education or equivalent.
  • Must possess a human resources related degree/major, or have completed or are working towards the completion of a recognized Professional Human Resources Designation (e.g. C.H.R.P., P.H.R., S.P.H.R., G.P.H.R.) with equivalent relevant work experience.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the following minimum work experience qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years progressive experience in human resources (or related).
  • Familiarity with and ability to interpret and apply Employment and Health & Safety legislation.
  • Strong strategic agility with ability to create plans and buy-in for implementation of vision.
  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity, trust, composure, and is approachable by all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent judgment and timely decision-making and problem-solving skills.
