POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the VP Marketing, we are seeking an experienced and talented individual to join our team as an Ecommerce Merchandiser.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing the online shopping experience and integrating SalesForce solutions to enhance customer engagement and drive sales. This role requires a deep understanding of e-commerce, merchandising strategies, and proficiency in utilizing SalesForce tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the online merchandising strategy to ensure a seamless and engaging shopping experience for customers.
  • Utilize SalesForce Commerce Cloud to integrate merchandising efforts and drive sales growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product management, and IT to implement merchandising initiatives effectively.
  • Analyze customer data, market trends, and sales metrics to optimize product assortment, pricing, and promotions.
  • Support and execute A/B tests and other experiments to improve website performance and conversion rates.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies to continuously improve our online merchandising efforts.
  • Contribute to the development of long-term merchandising strategies and roadmap to support company growth objectives.
  • Coordinates merchandise and product catalog information as well as back-end systems integrations.

THE FIRST 90 DAYS

First 30 Days

Onboarding and Training

  • Complete onboarding and training on SalesForce Commerce Cloud and other tools.
  • Understand the company's merchandising strategy.
  • Familiarize yourself with both internal and external teams to develop effective internal processes and workflows.

Implement Initiatives

  • Help execute on merchandising initiatives and integration where needed.
  • Support ongoing A/B tests and experiments.
  • Suggest improvements based on analysis.

First 60 Days

Conduct A/B Testing

  • Play a larger role in planning and executing A/B tests.
  • Analyze results to improve website performance and conversion rates.

Deepen Market Insights

  • Analyze customer behavior, market trends, and competitor strategies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations.

Optimize Processes

  • Identify and start implementing process improvements.
  • Enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Continue building strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure merchandising efforts are well-integrated.

First 90 Days

Execute Strategy

  • Manage and execute the online merchandising strategy.
  • Ensure a seamless shopping experience.

Advanced Analysis

  • Conduct in-depth analysis to refine strategies.
  • Optimize product assortment, pricing, and promotions.
  • Lead A/B tests and other experiments for continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and trends.
  • Develop long-term merchandising strategies and roadmaps.
  • Align initiatives with company growth objectives.

Coordinate Systems

  • Manage product catalog information and back-end integrations.

Review and Feedback

  • Regularly review progress and seek feedback.
  • Continuously improve performance and strategies.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, E-commerce, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an online merchandiser or e-commerce specialist, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Knowledge of SalesForce Commerce Cloud and other SalesForce SaaS solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
  • Passion for e-commerce, technology, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
